Cornerstone Community Chapel held its annual Fall Festival on Sept. 6 at the Hartville Marketplace, with support from sponsors HRM Enterprises and New Life Christian Fellowship. The free public event ran from 2 to 5 p.m.

The afternoon featured live music by the chapel’s praise band, along with a performance from singer-songwriter Greg Colbeck.

Food was a highlight, with barbecued chicken prepared by Pastor Ron Embleton, pork from a hog roast, grilled sweet corn, pie, ice cream, hot dogs, wassail and lemonade. Duma Meats also grilled hamburgers for attendees — all free of charge.

Children enjoyed pumpkin painting, a bounce house, a barrel train, a hayride, and a touch-a-truck activity with a Hartville Fire Department truck. A prayer tent was also available.

As the afternoon went on, tables filled with people gathering to share food, fellowship and activities.

Cornerstone Community Chapel, located at 1250 Edison St. NW in Hartville, holds services each Sunday at 10:30 a.m., with Bible study at 9:30 a.m. The church also serves free community meals each Thursday at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 330-877-1250 or visit ccchartville.org.
