River View, Coshocton players headline MVL soccer awards
Chase Wright and Zoey Tumblin earn top honors as Muskingum Valley League announces postseason recognitions for boys and girls divisions.
The Muskingum Valley League released its postseason awards for boys and girls varsity soccer.
In the boys big school division, Defensive Player of the Year went to River View’s Chase Wright. Goalkeeper of the Year was River View’s Layton Massie. First-team honors were awarded to River View’s Layton Massie, Parker Andrews and Chase Wright. The second team included River View’s Carter Knicely and Cash Guilliams.
In the small school boys division, Coshocton’s Parker Loomis earned first-team honors. Second-team honors went to Coshocton’s Clay Watson and Colton Mathias, and honorable mention was given to Corbin Talbott, also from Coshocton.
For the girls soccer big school division, River View’s Elaina Brenly was placed on the first team. River View’s Paisley Miller and Ashlyn Henry were on the second team, and honorable mention went to their teammate Chloe Adams.
In the girls small school division, Offensive Player of the Year went to Coshocton’s Zoey Tumblin, and the Defensive Player of the Year was her teammate Ava Hall. Tumblin also won Player of the Year and first-team honors, along with Hall. Second-team honors went to Coshocton’s Jersey Stipes, and honorable mentions were given to Coshocton’s Madi MacDonald and Mia Lauvray.
