Ridgewood girls golf makes history with undefeated season, co-IVC title
Lady Generals finish unbeaten in dual matches and share conference championship with Garaway.
The Ridgewood Lady Generals golf team made school history on Sept. 11 at Fire Ridge Golf Course with their 174 win over Hiland’s 209 and West Holmes’s 204. They are the first girls golf team in Ridgewood school history to go undefeated in IVC dual matches and overall dual matches. The Lady Generals played the back, and par was 36.
Brynn Harstine was medalist of the match with a 35. She also had an eagle and a birdie. Kelly Corbett and Kendal Myers each carded their personal records too.
Ridgewood varsity scores were Brynn Harstine with 35, Josie Stanton with 43, Jacey Hess with 46, Zoe Martin with 50, Kelly Corbett with 59, Kendal Myers with 59 and Ava Rauh-Hill with 60.
The Ridgewood Lady Generals also are now co-IVC champions. This is the first Ridgewood girls golf team to be co-IVC champs.
The Lady Generals and Garaway each scored a 340 on Sept. 16 at Carroll Meadows Golf Course. Par was 71. Harstine was match medalist with a 69. Harstine had three birdies. Hess and Stanton each had one birdie.
Ridgewood Lady Generals' scores for the day were Harstine with 69, Hess with 88, Martin with 91, Stanton with 92, Myers with 123 and Corbett with 125.
