Members of the Ridgewood FFA chapter recently
traveled to Columbus to participate in the Ohio FFA Leadership Conference,
where they joined hundreds of other students from across the state to develop
leadership skills, strengthen teamwork and connect with fellow FFA members.
During the conference, students attended
workshops focused on communication, goal setting and personal growth. These
sessions encouraged participants to step outside their comfort zones and learn
how to become stronger leaders, both in their schools and communities.
Ridgewood students also had the opportunity to
hear from motivational speakers and experienced FFA leaders who shared stories
about their own journeys in agriculture and leadership. The speakers emphasized
the importance of service, responsibility and making a positive impact.
In addition to the workshops and
presentations, students took part in interactive activities designed to build
confidence and collaboration. The experience allowed members to network with
other FFA chapters, exchange ideas and learn new ways to bring leadership
opportunities back to their local chapter.
Advisers said the conference provided valuable
experiences that will help students grow as leaders within the Ridgewood FFA
chapter. Members returned home with new ideas for chapter activities and a
renewed commitment to agricultural education and community involvement.
The Ohio FFA Leadership Conference is held
annually and aims to prepare students to become future leaders in agriculture,
their schools and their communities.
