Ridgewood FFA’s Parliamentary
Procedure team had an impressive showing this season, earning a third-place
finish at the district competition and demonstrating strong leadership and
dedication throughout the year.
The team first competed at the sub-district
competition held in Claymont, where their performance earned them advancement
to the district level. The district competition took place at Sheridan,
bringing together some of the top Parliamentary Procedure teams from the area.
At the district contest, Ridgewood’s team placed third overall, finishing just
a few points shy of qualifying for the state competition.
Despite narrowly
missing a state berth, the team’s strong showing reflected months of
preparation, teamwork and commitment to mastering parliamentary law and
procedure. Members of the team spent countless hours studying motions,
practicing formal meetings and refining their skills to ensure accuracy and
professionalism during competition. Their efforts paid off with a season that showcased
growth, confidence and determination.
Advisers and chapter members expressed
pride in the team’s accomplishments and the effort they put forth throughout
the year. Ridgewood FFA congratulates the Parliamentary Procedure
team on a successful season and looks forward to their continued success in
future competitions. Team members were Chairman Wade Thompson, Secretary Libirti Shortt-Wilkie, and members Callie McCoy, Jayvin Burrier, Alaena Huff, Payge Kinney and alternate Tennessee Ellis.
