Ridgewood FFA parliamentary procedure team posts strong season

Team earns third-place finish at district competition after months of preparation and teamwork

Ridgewood FFA’s Parliamentary Procedure team had an impressive showing this season, earning a third-place finish at the district competition and demonstrating strong leadership and dedication throughout the year.

Ridgewood FFA’s Parliamentary Procedure team had an impressive showing this season, earning a third-place finish at the district competition and demonstrating strong leadership and dedication throughout the year.

The team first competed at the sub-district competition held in Claymont, where their performance earned them advancement to the district level. The district competition took place at Sheridan, bringing together some of the top Parliamentary Procedure teams from the area. At the district contest, Ridgewood’s team placed third overall, finishing just a few points shy of qualifying for the state competition.

Despite narrowly missing a state berth, the team’s strong showing reflected months of preparation, teamwork and commitment to mastering parliamentary law and procedure. Members of the team spent countless hours studying motions, practicing formal meetings and refining their skills to ensure accuracy and professionalism during competition. Their efforts paid off with a season that showcased growth, confidence and determination.

Advisers and chapter members expressed pride in the team’s accomplishments and the effort they put forth throughout the year. Ridgewood FFA congratulates the Parliamentary Procedure team on a successful season and looks forward to their continued success in future competitions. Team members were Chairman Wade Thompson, Secretary Libirti Shortt-Wilkie, and members Callie McCoy, Jayvin Burrier, Alaena Huff, Payge Kinney and alternate Tennessee Ellis.
