A group of 25 Ridgewood High School FFA
members traveled to Ohio State University Agricultural Technical
Institute to participate in Ohio FFA Leadership Night, an event focused
on leadership development and career exploration.
The trip took place Dec. 4, with members departing from Ridgewood High School in the afternoon
and returning later that evening. While at ATI students toured the farm shop,
learned more about opportunities available through Ohio State ATI and had dinner prior to the evening’s program.
The leadership night program was held at
the Arden Shisler Center Ballroom and featured presentations from Ohio FFA
state officers.
Officers shared insights on leadership, personal growth and
what it means to be involved in FFA beyond the local chapter level. A student
panel also provided participants with a firsthand look at college life and
agricultural education pathways.
The evening gave Ridgewood FFA members the
chance to interact with other FFA students from across the state while
strengthening their own leadership skills. Advisers and members agreed the
event was both educational and motivating, offering valuable experiences students can bring back to their chapter.
Ridgewood FFA continues to provide
opportunities for members to grow through leadership activities, career
exploration and hands-on learning throughout the year.
