Reflecting on daily life changes across generations
Exploring how technology has transformed routines in families
Oh, how they have changed — decade after decade — from our childhood events to what our ancestors had to do daily, from morning chores, long before school buses, to evening chores, rules, homework, seasons changing, et cetera.
The daily events our parents and grandparents dealt with, they did without the technology we have today. If you go back far enough, they probably didn't have electric, vehicles, plumbing, telephones or updated medical resources.
Have you talked to your children or grandchildren about the way you spent your days, lives and friendships?
I see them spending too much time on their cellphones or on computers. Talk to them about the way things have changed. It may lead to questions you need to share and the respect our ancestors deserve.
