What was the best improvement or event you saw
happen in our community in 2025? Here is a look at what some of our readers had
to say.
One community addition some people expressed
concern about turned up on other’s positive list.
Emily Mobley
said, “I honestly like the roundabout a lot.”
The roundabout at Skip’s Landing also
was mentioned by Sandy McConnell.
“Honestly, I think
it's hard to pinpoint what were the best improvements,” she said. “Two things
are the ice skating rink and the roundabout. I think that whole Skip’s Landing
area is going to be gorgeous. I honestly think all the upgrades and additions
to the community have been fabulous. I live in West Lafayette, and I am really
enjoying the West Lafayette signs entering the village. It just makes
everything look so much nicer.”
Carolee Bookless
expressed her appreciation for Coshocton in Bloom.
“I think all the
great things Coshocton in Bloom does around town are positive,” she said. “It
always looks so beautiful.”
Mandy Brenly enjoyed the holiday lights
downtown.
“The light show at the courthouse is
really cute,” she said.
Cindy Dalzell
is thankful the sidewalks around the
courthouse have been repaired, especially the one that leads to the handicap
entrance.
“It had a big chunk out of it, and I
was concerned someone would fall from that,” she said. “However, I would like to
see a bench or two added to that sidewalk so that someone who is handicapped
could sit if they needed to before continuing. That sidewalk has a bit of an
incline, which may be difficult for some.”
Another downtown project was mentioned by Debbie Ford.
“The collaborative
being finished and open was a beautiful renovation,” she said.
Here’s hoping 2026 is another year
full of community improvements and individuals and groups continuing to work
together for the greater good of the community.
