Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum to host ‘Haiku as a Gratitude Practice’ workshop Nov. 15
Participants will explore mindfulness and thankfulness through poetry in a hands-on session led by haiku instructor Holli Rainwater in Historic Roscoe Village
Prepare for the season of Thanksgiving by spending an afternoon at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 1-3:30 p.m. exploring how reading and writing haiku can teach people to pay attention to the world around them, deepening awareness of the gifted nature of life.
Holli Rainwater will highlight some of the elements that make a good haiku. This will be a friendly experience with an emphasis on curiosity and connection.
Admission to the workshop will be $5 and can be paid in advance by registering online at www.jhmuseum.org/haiku-gratitude or at the door on the day of the event.
The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Coshocton. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., and all Sundays are free admission to Coshocton County residents.
