Health district announces next speaker
The Coshocton Public Health District will present Coffee with A Doc, on Thursday, Feb. 20, featuring Leslie Mayle – a registered dietitian nutritionist. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Coshocton Senior Center, located at 201 Browns Lane in Coshocton. Parking is available in front of the building. This event is free with no registration required. Free coffee will be made available, along with a special treat provided by the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.
Mayle is a registered dietitian nutritionist with the National Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and a licensed dietitian with the state of Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1993, with a Bachelor of Science and specialty in medical dietetics. Her background includes acute care, food service management, community, long term and assisted living care. Mayle is currently the director of nutrition services for Coshocton Regional Medical Center where she provides outpatient counseling by physician referral. She also works with community partners such as OSU Extension and WIC to provide diabetes classes, nutrition fairs, acute inpatient care and directs the food service operations.
It is the mission at Coshocton Public Health, to ensure equitable access to care, prevent diseases, promote healthy behaviors and protect the well-being and health environment for all community members. By offering this event each month, staff is gaining insight to what is truly needed by the adult population in Coshocton County.
