Sheriff's office awards ceremony recognizes six officers for outstanding service in 2025.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office recently held its 2025 awards ceremony. There were six Officer of the Year awards
in different categories.
Deputy of the Year was Levern Wilson, who looks for situations while he is on shift, communicates very
well with the detectives' bureau and shares information to assist in drug
investigations and more.

Communications Officer
of the Year was Cortney Johnson, who brings a lot of knowledge and experience to
the team.
Corrections Officer of the Year went to Sgt. Adam Parks, whose peers
say he always goes above and beyond his job duties to make sure things are taken
care of in the corrections division.
Detective Jeremy Johnson
was honored as Investigator of the Year. His fellow officers say Johnson is
passionate about drug investigation and enforcement.
Supervisor of the Year went to Capt. Eric Demattio, who last year was promoted from detective
to captain and chief deputy. His highlights state it was a significant
promotion that changed every aspect of his duties, and he adjusted very well,
learned his new role, and demonstrated steady leadership and poise in his
conduct.
Denny Conkle was honored
as Auxiliary Deputy of the Year. His dedication to the office and the community
is invaluable. Whether it is covering ball games, parades, the fair, or going in to help with inmate transports and guarding inmates at the hospital, Conkle
is able to jump in and help when called.
