Wooster’s Elliot Miller earns All-American honor in men’s soccer

Senior forward becomes program’s first All-American since 2005 after leading Scots to best season in two decades

Senior Elliot Miller was named a United Soccer Coaches All-American after leading The College of Wooster men’s soccer team to its best season in more than 20 years, including a major offensive turnaround and the program’s first All-American and NCAC Tournament berth since the mid-2000s.

An honor two decades in the making, College of Wooster senior Elliot Miller was recently named a United Soccer Coaches All-American.

Miller was announced as a fourth-team selection. The College of Wooster men's soccer team's latest All-American is its first since Brian Conaway was named to the third team in 2005.

Miller and Connor Shea were named all-region, the first time a Wooster duo has been named all-region since 2005.

Fifty-two players earned recognition on the men's team. Miller is one of three players from the North Coast Athletic Conference, joining Kameron Kist and Henri Heyes from Denison University.

Miller led the Scots this year with 22 points on eight goals and six assists. He was one of three Scots who tallied double digits in points.

Miller reversed a Wooster offense, which scored more than double the number of goals from a year ago (37 to 17), leading the Scots to a historic season in which they went 11-2-6. It was Wooster's best record in over 20 years. Miller, who was named the NCAC Offensive Player of the Year, guided Wooster to its first NCAC Tournament berth since 2004.

For COW this is the 12th different sport with an All-American in the last 10 years.
