Wooster/Orrville NAACP opens 2026 scholarship applications Dec. 15
Scholarship supports Wayne County seniors of African American descent with financial need and leadership experience
Beginning Dec. 15, the Wooster/Orrville NAACP will accept applications for its 2026 scholarship program. The scholarship is available to Wayne County public high school seniors who are accepted or enrolling in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical education institution.
Applicants must be of African American descent, have financial need (based on FAFSA), and show leadership qualities through participation in co-curricular, extracurricular, community or church activities.
Awards vary based on need and available funds. Awards can be used for tuition and fees required for enrollment.
The application deadline is March 15. The online scholarship application and instructions for applying can be found on the Wayne County Community Foundation website on the grants/scholarships page at www.waynecountycommunityfoundation.org/.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 1, and funds will be distributed after July 1.
