Wooster author Dottie Sines will sign copies of her book, "Where the Stars Cross," Saturday, Nov. 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Uptown/Downtown Antiques & Consignments, 215 W. Liberty St., Wooster. "Where the Stars Cross" tells the story of Eleanor Todd, a Chicago stained-glass artist who is struggling to restore her shattered life amid not only The Great Depression, but also personal challenges. The tale takes place primarily in historical Marietta, a charming river town. In her journey to find the place where she belongs, Ellie draws on an unrealized level of courage and learns she must identify her brightest passions in charting her course. Although the story is fictional, Sines researched extensively in order to provide an accurate depiction of 1930s Chicago and Marietta.

Sines has won multiple writing awards including twice being named one of 10 winners in the short story contest of the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park, which published her award-winning stories in the third and fifth editions of its literary journal, "Hemingway Shorts."

"Where the Stars Cross," Sines’s first novel, was published in 2024 by New York-based The Wild Rose Press. The book appeared on Amazon’s list of Hot New Releases in 20th Century Historical Romance for over two months.
