Trinity UMC in Orrville updates Friday blood drive schedule
Starting Oct. 10, drives will run from noon to 6 p.m. to better align with Red Cross staffing needs.
Trinity United Methodist Church in Orrville has been hosting American Red Cross blood drives since 2011. Beginning Oct. 10, the time frame of the TUMC blood drives held on Fridays will change to noon to 6 p.m.
Blood drives are held the second Friday of February, April, June, August, October and December. The reason for the time change is to accommodate the needs of the Red Cross staffing.
Blood drives held the second Thursday of January, March, May, July, September and November will remain from 1-6 p.m.
Donors are encouraged to schedule appointments to donate blood at www.redcrossblood.org. The sponsor code is tumcOrrville or use ZIP code 44667.
Walk-ins are welcome as time allows, but those with scheduled appointments will take priority. Soup and cookies will be provided to all donors.
