Open Arms Ministries hosts Praise + Pupusas fundraiser celebrating faith, food and community

Free Nov. 2 event at Salem Mennonite Church in Dalton will feature Salvadoran pupusas, live praise music and support for Latino immigrant families in Wayne County

Open Arms Ministries invites the community to Praise + Pupusas, a fundraising evening of food, music and fellowship, on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Salem Mennonite Church, 3363 Zuercher Road, Dalton.

The event will feature authentic Salvadoran pupusas, live praise music and opportunities to support the ongoing outreach of Open Arms Ministries, which serves Latino immigrant families in Wayne County through education, family support and Christ-centered community programs.

“Events like these remind us of what we have done and why our work is important," said Jennifer Hicks, administrative assistant at Open Arms Ministries. "It’s a time to give thanks to God, connect across cultures and come together to serve those that need us."

The evening is free to attend.
