Kidron to host new weekly farm market
Market opens May 23 with local food and handmade goods every Saturday
A new weekly farm market will open in Kidron this summer, offering fresh local food, handmade goods and on-site concessions.
The market will be held every Saturday beginning May 23 behind the auction barn in the center of the village. Vendors will be open from 9 a.m. to noon.
Shoppers will find a variety of products including organic produce grown by a local farmer, sourdough bread from Six:11 Sourdough and meat from Lazy L Meats. Other offerings will include eggs, honey, maple syrup and baked goods.
In addition to food items, the market will feature handmade and artisan products. Once Upon A Sommer’s Day will offer handmade pottery, New Creation Artworks will showcase paintings and drawings and vendors such as Wildfolk Naturals and Herbal Wellness Co. will provide tallow products, tinctures and other nontoxic items for the home.
Food trucks and beverage vendors also will be part of the market experience. Crack Of Dawn Concessions will serve breakfast items on opening day, and the new Cloud Nine Express will offer a variety of drinks.
Vendor applications are still being accepted, particularly from those offering unique or niche products and fresh food items such as coffee, hot food made on-site, baked goods, syrups and honey.
For more information or to become a vendor, call 330-857-0106.
