Is getting scared not your thing? Fall still can be. While the area may not lead the nation in fall festivals and other autumn rituals, there’s definitely no shortage of them.
For most in this area and even those within 50 miles, it starts with Ramseyer Farms Fall Festival, the bar-setter on state Route 585 between Smithville and Wooster.

Nickajack Farms Fall Festival, North Lawrence

Dates: Through Halloween.

Tickets: $17 with age 2 and under free. Pony rides $6, Saturday and Sunday only.
Attractions: Pumpkin Days with more than 70 activities including wagon rides, a corn maze, pony rides, barnyard animals, slides, playsets, a straw maze and more.
