TuscBDD launches Early Intervention awareness campaign
Early Intervention aims to help children from birth to age 3 meet developmental goals
Some developmental disabilities can significantly affect a child’s progress early in life. Early Intervention aims to help children from birth to age 3 meet developmental goals, regardless of the challenges they may face.
To raise awareness of the program and the benefits it can provide, the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities is launching an Early Intervention awareness campaign on social media.
The campaign will use videos, images and captions posted on platforms including Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. It will feature current Early Intervention participants, highlighting everyday life while offering insight into how the program supports children and families. Some posts also will include a parent or caregiver sharing their experience.
“The program has done so much for my family. I want to make sure I can spread the word of what EI can do for families like mine,” Jen Burnheimer said. “My son Emery wouldn’t be where he’s at today without the support we were provided.”
The campaign also will include radio promotion, with organizers appearing on local stations to highlight the program.
TuscBDD said it hopes the campaign will help more families learn about Early Intervention and access services when needed.
