To improve traffic flow at the intersection of McCauley Drive East and U.S. Route 250, new traffic restrictions are now in place. As of this week, drivers exiting McCauley Drive East (the McDonald’s side) can no longer make a left turn onto U.S. 250 eastbound.
Drivers may instead proceed straight or turn right onto U.S. 250 West. Those needing to return to U.S. 250 East should continue westbound to the Midvale exit and re-enter U.S. 250 heading east.
Signal timing at the intersection also has been adjusted to help improve traffic flow. Law-enforcement officers are currently assisting with traffic control in the area.
The Ohio Department of Transportation and its contractor will continue to monitor conditions and make further adjustments as needed during the ongoing concrete repair project at this intersection.
ODOT reminds motorists to expect delays and to observe all posted signage regarding traffic-pattern changes and lane closures. If possible, drivers are advised to use alternate routes to avoid congestion.
The overall completion date for the U.S. Route 250 and McCauley Drive intersection project is Oct. 31.Call Lauren Borell at 330-308-7817.
