The Summer Reinforcement Program offers Medina County students a five-week, small-group tutoring experience focused on strengthening reading, math and communication skills.

A longtime summer tutoring program aimed at helping students strengthen core academic skills is now accepting registrations for its upcoming session.

The Summer Reinforcement Program, now in its 52nd year, provides reading and math support, along with speech therapy, for Medina County children ages 3-14 who may need extra help after the school year.

A 52-year-old Medina summer program is now enrolling students for hands-on tutoring in reading, math and speech in a supportive, low-pressure setting.

Sessions will run June 8–July 10, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at Blake Elementary School, 4704 Lexington Ridge Road.

Organizers say the program focuses on reinforcing skills students have already been taught, rather than introducing new material, using a hands-on approach that includes games, stories, writing activities and small-group instruction.

Class sizes are limited to 12-15 students, allowing for individualized attention from licensed teachers in a supportive environment.

In addition to academic instruction, students may participate in speech therapy offered in individual or small-group settings, as well as weekly music therapy and a reading club designed to strengthen literacy skills.

Program organizers emphasize that the experience is designed to be low-pressure, with no tests, quizzes or homework, while still providing structured educational support.

Tuition for the five-week session is $425.
