Peggy Coyle to perform Patsy Cline tribute at Wadsworth library
ORMACO's free 'Live at the Library' concert set for May 17
ORMACO and the Wadsworth Public Library will continue the Live at the Library series with Peggy Coyle at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad St.
The Live at the Library series continues its celebration of 250 years of American music by revisiting different decades each month. Representing the 1950s, Coyle will join guitarist Jackson Boling for a program of songs made famous by Patsy Cline.
The concert is free and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call 419-853-6016.
Coyle is one of Northeast Ohio’s versatile and sought-after entertainers. A jazz and blues singer, her repertoire spans music from the 1940s big band swing era through early rock ’n’ roll. She performed with Phil Palumbo & Pals for 20 years and also spent several years performing with Brad Bolton as the duo Peggy and Brad. She currently performs with Mike Lenz and The Mostly Blues Band and a new project called ReCoyle. She also performs with The Savoy and NEO Jazz Orchestra.
Boling has played guitar since childhood and enjoys performing an eclectic mix of songs, including standards from the Great American Songbook, ’60s soul and classic rock.
