St. Francis Xavier School honored with Edison STEM award
The Medina school earned the Governor’s Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in STEM Education for the 12th time, recognizing its teachers and students for innovation and achievement.
St. Francis Xavier School is proud to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of the Governor’s Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in STEM Education and Student Research for the 2024–2025 school year.
This marks the twelfth season the school has received this honor, which recognizes schools and teachers across Ohio who provide outstanding opportunities for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Thanks to the dedication of teachers and the hard work of students, St. Francis Xavier School has once again achieved this distinction.
As part of the award, the recognized teachers will also receive a complimentary membership to The Ohio Academy of Science, offering them additional opportunities to continue inspiring students through innovative STEM education.
“We are so grateful for the support of our parent community in helping us achieve this recognition. Your encouragement, involvement, and partnership make it possible for our students to grow and excel. Congratulations to our teachers, students, and families—this is a win for our entire school community,” said Danene Beal, Principal of St. Francis Xavier School.
