The Brass Band of the Western Reserve will present its upcoming concert, “Legacy,” at 7 p.m. March 7 at the Middle Stage Auditorium of the Medina Performing Arts Center, 851 Weymouth Road.
The program will feature a wide variety of music, ranging from classic wind band selections to popular hits by Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond.
A highlight of the evening will be “Legacy,” composed by Tom Davoren to celebrate the creation of the United Kingdom’s National Health Service. The piece has been selected as the 2026 Second Section test piece by the North American Brass Band Association and is a major work performed in brass band competitions.
“We are thrilled to present this very musically diverse program and believe that we have a little something for everyone,” Vice President Maryann Veyon said.
Founded in 1997, the Brass Band of the Western Reserve brings together brass and percussion musicians from across Northeast Ohio. The ensemble is led by Conductor and Music Director Jay Wardeska and presents an annual concert series at the Medina Performing Arts Center.
