Medina County Library honors top volunteers
Volunteers contributed nearly 1,900 hours in 2025, supporting programs and services across the county.
Medina County District Library recognized volunteers who contributed a combined 1,879 hours of service in 2025, including several individuals reaching major milestone levels.

Medina County District Library is recognizing the volunteers who donated a combined 1,879 hours of service in 2025, supporting library programs, services and daily operations throughout the county.
Library officials expressed appreciation for both student and adult volunteers who reached milestone service levels this year.
At the 900-hour level, Jill Holtzapple of the Lodi branch led the way. Reaching 600 hours were Denise Noll of the Brunswick branch and Rhonda Hoop of the Highland branch.
Volunteers contributing more than 200 hours included Kat Kunz of the Buckeye branch.
At the 100-hour level, Margaret Zalenski of Brunswick; Lillian Kuzmins of Highland; and Mary Baker, Amelia Prifti and Eshan Shingledecker of Medina were recognized for their service.
Those reaching 50 hours or more included Myriam Bellflower, Claire Bowers, Jacob Cloyes, Lucas Kiedrowski and Lily LaGuardia of Brunswick; Vincent Joy, Ella Matyac and Josh Swantek of Buckeye; Yasmeen Bari of Highland; and Kevin Holy of Medina.
In addition to individual volunteers, several organizations provided support to the library, including Alternative Paths, the Educational Service Center of Medina County, Enhance Ability and the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Library officials said volunteers play an essential role in enhancing services and strengthening connections within the community.
