The Medina County Health Department
implemented the new Ohio Vitals Record System on Wednesday, Aug. 6, as part of
a statewide initiative by the Ohio Department of Health to improve the
efficiency and security of vital statistics records.
As of Aug. 4, the cost for certified
copies of birth and death certificates issued by the Medina County Health
Department increased from $25 to $26 per copy. The fee adjustment is due to the
new system’s requirement for higher-cost, specialized security paper used to
print official documents.
