The Medina County District Library begins 2026 with a new board member and a new slate of officers.

Kim Krzemienieswki was sworn in at the Jan. 19 board meeting by Medina County Common Pleas Judge Bill Hutson and will serve a four-year term through 2029.

A Medina County native, Krzemienieswki lives in Spencer Township with her husband, Mitch, and their daughter. She is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where she earned a master’s degree in applied social sciences with a specialization in children, youth and families. She earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and psychology from Baldwin Wallace University. Krzemienieswki has worked at Oberlin College and is currently in private practice. She serves on the Medina County F1RST team, providing group debriefing and resources to first responders experiencing significant work-related stress, and also serves on Spencer Township’s Board of Zoning Appeals.

Krzemienieswki built a Little Free Library at the end of her family’s driveway and enjoys seeing community members stop to browse.

“I feel such a privilege to serve our community on the Medina County District Library board,” Krzemienieswki said. “A library is a sanctuary for everyone, and books can expand our world and perception endlessly. Libraries are essential to the foundation of care, connection and wellness in our communities.”

The new officers of the MCDL Board of Trustees are Caleb Parker, president; Sarah Vachon, vice president; and Ann Marie Flannery, secretary. Other board members include Christopher Jakab, Brian Harr, William Koran and Krzemienieswki.
