Chippewa Lake Historical Society announces museum grand opening
New museum on former Chippewa Lake Park property to open July 3; June 25 meeting to feature patriotic presentation
The Chippewa Lake Historical Society will celebrate the grand opening of its museum from 4-7 p.m. July 3 at 7464 Lake Road, Chippewa Lake.
The museum was developed in cooperation with the Medina County Park District and is located on property associated with the former Chippewa Lake Park.
The building also will be open July 4 before the parade and on select days and hours throughout the year. Additional information is available at clohs.org.
The society's regular meeting, which is open to the public, will be held June 25 at 7 p.m. at the Chippewa Lake Community Center, 24 Circle Crest Drive.
Guest entertainment will feature the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic and their presentation of "The Star-Spangled Banner," bringing to life the story of Francis Scott Key and the patriotic spirit of a young nation.
