Twenty-six members attended the snowy January meeting of Healing Hearts as President Bob called the meeting to order.

Healing Hearts is a group for widows and widowers that meets, often on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 1 p.m. at the Brunswick Library. The purpose of the club is not to grieve, but to remember the past while learning to have fun again, including outings to restaurants with friends. A calendar of February events was distributed, highlighting a Valentine’s Party at Dance d’Elegance.

After the business meeting, members voted on eight crockpots of chili in the annual chili cookoff. Rick won first place, Susan second and Denise third.

The next meeting will be Taco Wednesday at 1 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Brunswick Library. All widows and widowers are invited to attend and share tacos.
