Giving Tree ornaments help fund arts programs for underserved Medina County residents

Access the Arts invites the community to support free music, theater and visual arts experiences by donating through handmade ornaments displayed at two Medina locations.

Access the Arts’ Giving Tree program invites Medina County residents to purchase handmade ornaments that help fund free music, theater and visual arts experiences for underserved communities.

This holiday season, make your giving truly meaningful by supporting Access the Arts, a program that provides free creative experiences to underserved communities. When you purchase a handmade ornament from the Giving Tree, you’re not just taking home a beautiful piece of art — you’re helping provide access to music, theater and visual arts for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity. Each ornament is a symbol of generosity, creativity and connection — a small gift that makes a big impact.

Access the Arts is spreading holiday cheer in Medina County through its Giving Tree program, where buying a handmade ornament helps support free creative programs for underserved youth and communities.

Access the Arts Giving Trees can be found at the entrance to Foundry Social, 333 Foundry St., Medina, and The Common Ground, 220 N. State Rd., Medina. The trees will be adorned with handmade ornaments created by the groups served by Access the Arts, including the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center, the Lodi Family Center and a special donation from the Huntington Elementary Arts Society.

Simply choose a handmade ornament from the tree, scan the QR code on its tag or go to accessthearts.org to make a donation. Any donation amount is welcome; but as a point of reference, costs for the programs range from purchasing student art supplies ($25) to providing a group art class ($90) to funding a group guitar lesson ($125). All donations will go directly to support Access the Arts programs.

If you would like to donate or volunteer with Access the Arts, email info@accessthearts.net or visit accessthearts.org.

Access the Arts, a Medina County nonprofit organization, creates opportunities for people of all ages, races, cultures and economic backgrounds to come together and celebrate the arts through gatherings, concerts and classes. The organization connects musicians, actors, singers, speakers, dancers and artists to groups that will benefit from the joy of the experience. It inspires troubled youth to identify their passions and find healthy outlets for expression in art, music and literature.
