Celebrate the ‘Dog Days of Summer’ at Dog Shelter Aug. 23

This fun-filled, family-friendly event takes place Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and promises a day packed with activities, entertainment — and of course, adoptable dogs.

Highlights include face painting for kids, a “Fill the Truck” donation drive to support the shelter, and music by streaming internet radio personality the Tye Dye Guy from WIXY 1260 online. Guests can also pick up positive reinforcement training tips from the pros at Pawsitivity Unleashed NEOH, sample treats from Barkin’ Biscuits Dog Bakery, and meet local dog rescues. Shelter staff will serve hot dogs, chips and drinks by donation, with proceeds benefiting the shelter.
