Acme Fresh Market cuts ribbon on new Medina store
Medina’s highly anticipated Acme Fresh Market south of the Square held its ribbon-cutting Friday, Aug. 22, after opening to the public earlier this month. Mayor Dennis Hanwell, along with local and regional officials, joined Acme team members to welcome the long-awaited Medina location.
The new ACME Fresh Market in Medina, located at 1225 South Court St., opened Aug. 7 as the company’s 17th store and highlights its roots as a family-owned grocery chain dating back more than a century to Akron.
The 56,000-square-foot family-friendly store emphasizes its commitment to the community with fresh, seasonal produce from Medina County farms, meats and poultry from Ohio-based producers, and products from Medina Square vendors like Candyapple & Co. and Chill Artisan Ice Cream.
In addition to shopping, customers can participate in ACME’s Community Cash Back program, which supports schools, libraries, Scouts, 4-H clubs, youth sports and more, with receipts collected through Feb. 15, 2026.
