Access the Arts is inviting country music fans and dance enthusiasts to step onto the dance floor for a fundraising event later this month.
The nonprofit will host “Boot Scootin’ Basics,” a beginner-friendly line dancing class, from 5:30-7 p.m. March 28 at Thirsty Cowboy, 2743 Medina Road in Medina.
The class will be taught by Debbie Rediger and is designed for participants of all skill levels. No partner or previous dance experience is required.
The event, presented in partnership with Thirsty Cowboy, will benefit Access the Arts programs, which provide free access to arts education and experiences for community members and individuals in need.
Participants will learn basic line dancing steps and move to country music in a relaxed, welcoming environment. After the class ends at 7 p.m., the dance floor will remain open with music from the Thirsty Cowboy DJ.
A full bar and light appetizers will be available starting at 5:30 p.m., and the kitchen’s full menu will be available beginning at 7 p.m.
Guests who register in advance will be entered into a drawing for door prizes donated by local businesses. Walk-ins are also welcome.
A suggested donation of $15 will help support Access the Arts and its mission of expanding arts access in the community.
Access the Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free opportunities for people of all backgrounds to experience and participate in the arts.
