The church of Christ is an independent, non-denominational local congregation of Christians as described in the New Testament. Their only official statement of faith is the Bible. They have no head but Christ and no earthly headquarters. They believe that, by following only the Bible, people today can be simply Christians and members of Jesus' true church, just like Peter, Paul, Lydia, and other New Testament Christians (2 Timothy 3:16,17).
