The East Knox baseball team won two of three games this past week.

The Bulldogs started off with an 8-1 victory over Danville on May 13.

Caleb Armstrong threw a one-hitter to lead the Bulldogs. He struck out seven batters on the day.

Offensively, Armstrong smacked two doubles, a triple and drove in three runs for EK. Zayne Grennell added three singles, while Jaxon Lester had two. Colton Armstrong, Jesse Dudgeon and Lucas Colopy had one each apiece.

The Bulldogs followed that up by pounding out 16 hits in a 12-5 victory over Lucas.

Grennell had a double and two singles to lead EK. Wyatt Baker doubled, while Colton Armstrong, Caleb Armstrong, Dudgeon and Colopy each had two hits.

Dudgeon tossed the first six innings for the Bulldogs, striking out four. Garrett Wesney finished up, fanning two.

East Knox closed out the regular season by falling, 7-6, to Tri-Valley in eight innings on May 15.

Colton Armstrong smacked a double and three singles to lead EK. Grennell added two singles and a double, while Caden Ridenour had three singles. Caleb Armstrong belted a double and a single, and Lester and Dudgeon each had two hits.

Gavin Kidwell pitched the first three innings for the Bulldogs, striking out five. Wesney went two innings with two Ks, and Grennell struck out two in three innings.

Softball

The East Knox softball team wrapped up its season with a 16-10 loss to Mount Gilead in the first round of the tournament on May 13.

Maddison Rambo smacked a home run, a double, single and drove in four runs to lead East Knox. Kenlie Moore added two doubles and three RBI, while Lydia Hill had a single and a double. Cloe Tucker had two hits, while Mackenzie Wilson doubled.

Rambo started on the mound with Hill in relief. Hill fanned four on the day.
