MVNU to host Tragedy into Triumph Live Simulcast Nov. 3–5
Free three-night event features worship and speakers Mark Richt, Riley Gaines and Michael Oher sharing stories of faith and perseverance, with children’s programs and online viewing available.
Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host the 2025 Tragedy into Triumph Live Simulcast, Nov. 3-5, at 7 p.m. nightly in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium. The event is free to attend, with doors opening at 6 p.m.
With a reach of more than half a million people worldwide, Tragedy into Triumph is dedicated to helping individuals find hope, renewal and transformation through faith.
“Tragedy Into Triumph is excited to bring this event to MVNU,” said Wendell Brown, CEO/Founder of Tragedy into Triumph. “Part of the human condition is that we will all struggle at some point in our lives. Since 2009, our desire has been to help people find hope for their lives through hearing stories of transformation. We believe it is possible to live in Triumph through the strength that God provides!”
Every night will feature worship led by Josh Brown and a live, in-person guest speaker sharing a story of hope and faith. Speakers are:
- Monday, Nov. 3 — Coach Mark Richt, College Football Hall of Fame coach and broadcaster, speaking on perseverance through Parkinson’s Disease.
- Tuesday, Nov. 4 — Riley Gaines, 12-time All-American swimmer, sharing her journey of standing firm in her faith and values.
- Wednesday, Nov. 5 — Michael Oher, NFL Super Bowl champion and subject of The Blind Side, sharing his story of overcoming poverty and hardship.
Children in Kindergarten through 6th grade will be able to attend a service of their own, diving into the life of Joseph and how God took the tragedy in Joseph’s life and turned it into triumph. For 18 months to 2 years, there will be childcare available.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be available via simulcast. Registration is required for online viewing. To register for the simulcast, or for more information, visit www.tragedyintotriumph.com.
