BPA is a career technical student organization that allows students to compete in various competitions in the areas of finance, business administration, management information systems, digital communications and design, management, marketing and communications, and health administration.
On Dec. 12, BPA State Qualifiers in Region 4 were announced at the Region IV Awards Ceremony held at the Willis Education Center in Delaware. KCCC had 40 students qualify for state in 23 events. The BPA State competition will be held Feb. 23-24 in Columbus.
Keyara Murphy, BPA Region IV Director, said, “The students did a great job competing in the BPA Region IV competition. All students prepared in different ways; reviewed resources for tests, and created projects using specific software. All contests were scored by a professional from the content area. Students apply and improve life skills through these competitions.
“As an alumnus, I love what this organization offers to students. It was life-changing for me as a student, and I know it can be for current students as well. We wish thebest to the students who are proceeding to compete at the State, and potentially the BPA National Level. These are the opportunities and experiences CTE is made of.”
