West Holmes hoops split results against Clear Fork and Ashland

Clear Fork picked up a 49-38 win over West Holmes in nonleague boys basketball action Jan. 6.

Nate Sprang (15 points) and Preston Troyer (eight) paced the Knights.

Girls basketball

Ashland downed West Holmes 54-28 in Ohio Cardinal Conference play Jan. 3.

Rorie Wilcox (six points, eight rebounds), Zalina Proper (six points, three assists), Cara McMillen (seven rebounds), Briar Cline (six rebounds) and Mati Fair (eight rebounds) led the Knights.

Junior varsity boys basketball

West Holmes defeated Clear Fork 33-27 on Jan. 6.

Kolton Taggart (eight points) and Hudson Flanders (seven) led the Knights.

Junior varsity girls basketball

West Holmes beat Ashland 49-28 on Jan. 3.

Brinley Malachin (19 points, four assists, five steals), Emma McDonnell (14 points, eight rebounds), Chelsie Cooper (11 points, nine rebounds) and Jocelyn Olney (four rebounds, three assists) led the Knights.

Freshman girls basketball

West Holmes defeated Medina 35-13 on Jan. 3.

Zoe Walter (14 points, four steals), Mattie Shankel (nine points, four steals), Jocelyn Olney (four rebounds), Brooke Hustack (three steals) and Una Holasek (four steals, three assists) paced WH.
