WCA to welcome Akron-based band to Wednesdays on Walnut

Benny Lava & the Guavas will perform at the Wednesdays on Walnut concert series, hosted by the Wayne Center for the Arts, on July 23 at 6 p.m. on WCA’s front lawn.

This Akron-based band is known for its blend of rock, jazz and world music, fronted by Benny Lava.

“We’re thrilled to bring Benny Lava & the Guavas to our community,” Development Director Tiffany Leeper said. “Their fun sound and soulful vibes will create just the kind of event that brings people together to enjoy music.”

The Wednesdays on Walnut concert series, supported by the Ohio Arts Council’s ArtsNEXT grant program, offers free entertainment for all ages. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and pack a picnic. Local partners including Wooster Parks and Recreation will provide additional activities.

Kona Ice’s mobile shaved ice truck will be on-site, and beverages will be available for purchase to support WCA and future public concerts.
