TOPS learns how to control sugar cravings
On Jan. 29, TOPS OH1573 Nashville opened with pledges. Leo Tope was best weekly loser. He said to drink water and use a small plate. Gaye Keller was best monthly loser, and Lana Rush was best weekly and monthly KOPS. The club started a new contest called Do Your Part, Take Care of Your Heart.
The program was taken from the AARP August Magazine in an article titled “10 Ways to Help Curb Sugar Cravings,” which are eat a protein-packed breakfast, get enough sleep, pinpoint sugar triggers, remove temptations, set a three-bite rule, choose a fruit or a cup of tea, count to 25, go for a walk, try urge surfing, and cut a food out of your diet.
TOPS OH1573 meets at the Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
