TOPS learns about the MIND diet

On May 21, TOPS OH1573 Nashville opened with its pledges.

Leo Tope was the best weekly loser. He said to drink plenty of water.

Lana Rush was the best weekly KOPS.

Janice Tope’s program came from the Health & Nutrition Letter from Tufts University. The article was titled “19 Health and Nutrition Secrets That Can Change Your Life.” The first tip was to lower your risk for Alzheimer’s disease by 53% with the MIND diet. Other tips were to buy healthy foods like coconut oil, nuts, fruit and vegetables; eat more protein and less cholesterol; and use exercise to boost your memory and think 10 years younger than you are.

TOPS meets at Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
