TOPS learns about losing weight after 40
On July 9, TOPS OH1573 Nashville opened with pledges.
Leo Tope was the best weekly loser. He said to drink water and eat small portions.
Lana Rush was the best weekly KOPS.
The program came from the article “You Can Lose Weight After 40 with Good Habits” from the February 2024 issue of Prevention Magazine.
Those habits include the following:
—Add more protein and fiber to meals.
—Include probiotic-rich foods such as yogurt and avocados.
—Practice intentional eating.
—Choose healthy fats including those from fatty fish, flaxseed and olive oil.
—Embrace strength and resistance training.
—Incorporate phytoestrogen-rich foods such as soy products, seeds and whole grains.
The club meets at the Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
