TCPL Board of Trustees vacancy following passing of Sugarcreek representative
The Tuscarawas County Public Library has an immediate vacancy for an unexpired term on its board of trustees. This vacancy is due to the recent passing of Richard Kaser, Sugarcreek Board of Trustees representative.
This vacancy is one of three board positions out of seven appointed by the Court of Common Pleas. Applicants for this board position must be residents of the Tuscarawas County Public Library District in Tuscarawas County and live in Sugarcreek or within the Garaway Local School District. The unexpired term will run through Dec. 31, 2029.
The Tuscarawas County Public Library consists of mobile services and five facilities located in New Philadelphia, Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek and Tuscarawas. The board of trustees currently includes representatives from each of these communities.
The board meets the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Main Library in New Philadelphia. Applicants are asked to forward a letter of interest and completed board of trustees application to Board President Mary Burns, in care of the Tuscarawas County Public Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
