See the trails in a different light
The Norma Johnson Center will host its Celebrate the Season event on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 3-5 p.m. at the red barn located on Conservation Drive and its Luminary Trail Walk from 5-7 p.m.
Those attending may take a family hike along the trails, create a few family crafts, stage a family photo, and tell Santa last-minute requests while sipping hot chocolate and eating cookies. A petting zoo will possibly be located in the bottom of the red barn.
The Luminary Trail Walk will be located on the trails near the picnic shelter and pond on Conservation Drive. Community members can walk the lighted trail past the pond and into the pines.
Dress for the weather because the barn is not heated. There is no charge for the event, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Donations will be accepted.
The Norma Johnson Center is located off state Route 39 between Dover and Sugarcreek. The red barn is located on Conservation Drive, just off Old SR 39. Questions about the event can be answered by calling the office at 330-339-7976 during the week from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
