Save & Serve Thrift Shop donates $5,411 to Disaster Aid Ohio
Community Benefit Day supports volunteer group providing long-term disaster recovery and home repair assistance across the region
Save & Serve Thrift Shop raised $5,411 for Disaster Aid Ohio, a local disaster relief organization, during its Community Benefit Day held Oct. 11.
Every dollar from the day’s sales was donated to the volunteer-led group that provides home repair and recovery assistance in the aftermath of natural disasters, especially when other aid resources are no longer available. Volunteers from Disaster Aid Ohio served as cashiers for the day.
“Disaster Aid Ohio steps in when help is hardest to find,” said Eric Raber, general manager of Save & Serve Thrift Shop. “We’re grateful for the volunteers, shoppers and donors who make it possible for Save & Serve to extend care and compassion to our community and beyond.”
Save & Serve hosts multiple benefit events throughout the year, with 100% of sales supporting local organizations that are making a positive impact in the lives of others.
