Save & Serve raises $5,076 for Love Center Food Pantry
Community Benefit Day proceeds will help support the pantry’s work fighting food insecurity in Holmes County
Save & Serve Thrift Shop hosted a Community Benefit Day May 9 to support the Love Center Food Pantry, raising $5,076 to help further its work fighting food insecurity in Holmes County.
The Love Center Food Pantry serves individuals and families across Holmes County with access to groceries, household staples and caring support. With rising costs and growing need, this donation helps ensure more neighbors can keep food on the table.
“Food insecurity is often closer than people realize," said Eric Raber, Save & Serve general manager. "The Love Center Food Pantry shows up for local families in a very practical way, and this Benefit Day gave our shoppers, volunteers and staff a chance to support that work."
Benefit Days are special events held throughout the year when 100% of Save & Serve’s sales are donated to a community organization. These days are one way the store gives back, supporting local efforts that align with its mission of meeting basic human needs in the name of Christ.
