Prairie Partners hard at work this spring
The Prairie Partners 4-H club held its second meeting of the year at Holmesville Elementary on March 17. The devotion was led by Caius Allen, and the pledges were led by Faith and Emma Brown.
The club voted on community-service projects and decided to weed, mulch and plant at the Holmes County Rails-to-Trails in Holmesville and pick up trash and run games at the Holmesville Homecoming. Recreation will be canoeing, and safety will be a trip to the fire department.
Fundraisers were not decided on and will be tabled until the next meeting. Emma Brown did a demonstration on duct tape crafts, Faith Brown demonstrated how to set a volleyball and Allen demonstrated how to make a paper airplane.
Clover Buds planted seeds. The club members all had a St. Patrick’s Day game and refreshments provided by the Brown and Allen families.
The next meeting will be April 14 at Holmesville Elementary, 8141 E. Jackson St., Holmesville.
