Pomerene Hospital receives Ohio Hospital Association’s 2025 Energy Cup Award
Pomerene Hospital was awarded the Ohio Hospital Association's 2025 Energy Cup Award for small hospitals. This award recognizes outstanding energy-efficiency improvements, and Pomerene earned the honor by achieving the largest energy-use reductions from 2023-24 among all small hospitals in Ohio.
Energy efficiency is more than just saving on utility bills. It's about being responsible stewards of resources, reducing environmental impact, and creating a healthier, more sustainable facility for patients, visitors and staff.
This achievement was made possible through the dedication and expertise of the building services team, led by Building Services Director Rex Miller, along with Dustin Lower, Cory Bates and Jonathan Armijo. Their commitment to improving systems, identifying energy-saving opportunities and implementing efficient practices played a key role in earning this award.
