Placing your faith and trust in Jesus

A poem of praise: finding peace, forgiveness and steadfast hope in the name above all names.

There’s something about the name of Jesus..

His name brings joy to my heart,

The precious name of Jesus.. the one who gave me a brand-new start.

His peace is like no other; you can’t find it in this world anywhere,

And if you’ll trust in his name, you’ll find a Savior for you who cares.

If you need a friend, he’s the one to go to,

If you’re in a valley…leading out, he will show you.

If you have a fear..

Jesus makes it disappear.

Whether big or small, your need Jesus hears,

When you go to him in prayer, he comforts all your tears.

No need to fret because you have a good Father,

He welcomes us, and we’re never a bother.

When I think of Jesus’ name, I think about all he’s done for me..

He died upon a cross for our sins to be forgiven and be free.

Jesus made a way for me that I could not understand ..

How someone as unworthy as me could receive a gift so grand.

If you confess your sin and in Jesus who died and was risen you believe..

Your sins will be forgiven, and this amazing gift by faith you’ll receive.

Repenting with remorse and sincerity,

To Jesus because he’s the one who died at Calvary.

No one else can forgive your sin because there’s only one perfect lamb,

He’s the only begotten of the Father with the nail-scarred hands.

His side was also pierced, and upon his head was placed a crown of thorns,

His name is above all names, and when he died, the veil was ripped and torn.

Jesus Christ rules and reigns forever as king,

He is the master, and praises to him we bring.

There is nothing impossible for the Lord to do,

He even walks on water because the seas obey him, too.

When you place your faith and trust in Christ who redeems,

Your sins will be washed away, down flowing, crimson streams.

The cross of Christ is there for all..

It will always stand immovably tall.

The name of Jesus is a strong tower,

He is our refuge with strength and power.

The Lord is always awake; he does not sleep.

He’s a trusted friend in the nights that you weep.

The Lord is always and will always be,

The good shepherd who makes the enemy flee.

Faithful and true is who Jesus our Messiah is,

All who’ve placed in him their faith and trust.. are forever his.
