Orrville Area UW announces grant release meeting

Nonprofit organizations serving Dalton, Marshallville and Orrville are invited to attend Orrville Area United Way’s 2026 grant release meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Orrville Area United Way, 135 N. Main St.

Attendance is required for any agency intending to apply for a 2026 Sustaining Grant. Applications will open immediately following the meeting and remain available through Friday, Sept. 5 at noon.

Orrville Area United Way focuses its funding in four impact areas: healthy community, youth opportunity, financial security and community resiliency.

In addition to submitting an online application, each organization will participate in an in-person presentation with the Citizen Review Committee. This group of community volunteers evaluates proposals and makes funding recommendations to the board of directors. Final decisions will be shared with applicants in February 2026.

Since 1958 OAUW has raised and distributed over $18.5 million to programs that strengthen Dalton, Marshallville and Orrville.

To learn more about the grant process or to access the online application beginning Aug. 6, visit the Funding tab at www.orrvilleareaunitedway.org. The application and additional materials will be available through the Nonprofit Portal.
